Hey Turds,
How is it that we’re already here? The first quarter of 2025 is coming to an end. Somehow it feels like January was a million years ago and the last couple of months were a hazy dream. Birthdays were had, beers were guzzled, and glitter and caution were thrown gleefully to the wind. We would say now it’s time for a much-needed rest, but that’s not how we roll at Liberty Barbers!
Not only is this our busiest time of year at the shop, but we’re also gearing up for the Easter Parade on 4/20 and our annual crawfish boil in North Carolina 4/25 – 4/29! With the usual happenings, festivals, and graduation coming up, you know spots will fill up fast! Please book your appointments about a week in advance…especially if you know you have an important event coming up!
Aside from talking about the sadness that is the Pelicans season, that just about gets us caught up. Read more about the team below and other “important” information. Your support over the years has meant the world to us and we can’t thank you enough for making Liberty Barbers such an awesome place to work!
With love and gratitude,
The Liberty Team
HANNAH…Hannah crushed her mock boards last month! She’s studying day and night for the state exam coming up at the end of this month. When she’s not busy working and raising a kid, she spends her days chasing down redheads in hopes they will share their secret formula. Gingers beware!
JENNY…Remember that time when Jenny left and got another job, and then that didn’t work out, but it was OK because we really need her help around here? That was a weird time, and it’s great to have her back on the regular. She’s also becoming the world’s best babysitter…just ask Hannah!
CHRIS…Remember that time when Chris opened a business and then never went fishing again? It was a sad story and nobody cares.
DEBY…Deby is still with us a few hours each week to take care of her dedicated clients! We haven’t scared them away yet!
MOXIE…I don’t understand why you all do such scary stuff. That Mardi Grabs was the worst! Everyone throwing and grabbing stuff and making my mommy leave me at home. It really stinks and there wasn’t even good snacks. And then to make matters worse, there’s ghosts in the shop! They have weird hair and no bodies and I think they possessed my snack mommy. Maybe this is her magic way of trying to steal my very important title of EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH, LITERALLY EVERY MONTH. Not today snack mommy…not under my watch!
SCHEDULE CHANGES…Hannah will be here on Wednesdays starting in April. Chris will be in North Carolina 4/25 – 4/29. Hannah will be here to keep the shop open but please keep in mind that appointments will be limited with Chris away that long weekend.
ARTIST WANTED… We’re looking for a new featured artist to display at the shop. If you’re an artist, or know someone who might be interested, please email libertybarbersnola@gmail.com.
GRIPES AND GRATITUDE… Were you all raised in a barn? Must you keep talking with the door wide open, wasting all my beautiful air conditioning? Then you put your gross, greasy hands all over the glass…why use the metal plate and bar meant for opening and closing the door? It’s definitely better to leave your signature print behind. On the bright side, things must be pretty OK if this is the shit I complain about. I feel pretty damn lucky for what we’ve built; having air conditioning to waste and a place that people feel at home…it’s a beautiful thing.
